About Me

I am a conductor, music educator, and arranger/orchestrator/engraver based in Sheffield. Alongside conducting Leeds Symphony Orchestra, I work across the UK in opera, orchestral music, crossover repertoire, and education projects. I am a dedicated educator working for Sheffield City Council's wonderful Music Hub.


My practice across all the disciplines I work in is driven by exploring relationships between people and forging positive connections. Empathy and curiosity are at top of the list of my leadership responsibilities and I constantly seek to refine my creative and pedagogical processes. The insights that come from working with children and young people are fundamental to my work with adult professional musicians and vice versa.​

2025/2026

It's hard to know where to start with the fantastic projects I'm lucky to be working on in 2025 - 2026. From a truly epic season lined up with Leeds Symphony Orchestra, to a spectacular new opera by Lucy Mulgan in a joint collaboration between Rotherham Music Service, The Royal Ballet and Opera House, and Grimm and Co. to celebrate the first ever Children's Capital of Culture, to Haydn's Creation with Sheffield Chamber Orchestra and Steel City Choristers. Along the way I'll have the pleasure of returning to work with West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, Wharfedale Chamber Orchestra, Paradox Orchestra, and as always, pushing for higher standards and developing the musicianship of Sheffield's young people in the Sheffield Music Service Senior Schools Orchestra. I'm buzzing.
